The Daily Class Register, Digitized
7 Things, One App, Zero Paper

EduGradUP's Class Register & Student Conduct module replaces the paper register every class teacher used to keep by hand. In one daily sheet, a teacher tags late arrivals, indiscipline, homework not done, notebook checks and classroom cleanliness for the whole class in under a minute — while late-coming and homework lists are detected automatically from attendance and diary data, not typed in twice. A parent-contact log tracks exactly which absent students' parents have actually been called, and a weak-student support workflow turns falling exam scores and attendance drops into a mentor plan with logged sessions. Every record is private by default — indiscipline and notebook grades never reach a parent unless a teacher explicitly shares that one record. Included free with every EduGradUP subscription from ₹12,000/year — no extra per-module cost.

One roster, six tap-chips per student, one Save — that's the whole daily register. Detailed screens for indiscipline write-ups, notebook grades and cleanliness scores are one tap away when you need more than a quick tag.

Feature 1 of 7

Late Come Students List

No more guessing who walked in after the bell. Late arrivals are pulled straight from the attendance check-in time — biometric, QR, or a teacher's manual mark — so the list is always accurate, never re-typed.

  • Exact check-in time and minutes-late for every student, every day
  • A 14-day repeat-offender streak, so a one-off is never confused with a habit
  • One tap to log a parent contact directly from the late-arrival row
  • Admin sets a school-wide streak threshold that auto-alerts a parent (push + WhatsApp) once crossed

Feature 2 of 7

Indisciplined Students List

A proper incident record, not a scribbled note — severity, what happened, and the action taken, all searchable later from the student's profile.

  • Severity levels: Minor, Major, Critical — critical incidents surface on the admin dashboard until resolved
  • Action-taken field: verbally warned, parent informed, detention, counselling, referred to head, and more
  • Photo evidence can be attached to a record
  • Off by default for parent/student visibility — a teacher must explicitly switch on "Share with Parent" per record
📓
Feature 3 of 7

Homework Not Written Student List

Reads directly from the Diary module's submission records — a student who didn't submit within 7 days appears automatically, with a miss count, no double entry.

  • Auto-populated from real diary submission data, updated daily
  • 7-day miss-streak count highlights repeat defaulters
  • Verbal (non-diary) homework can still be logged manually in one tap
  • Feeds the same parent-contact workflow as late arrivals

Feature 4 of 7

Absent Parents Contacted

An automated WhatsApp alert is not the same as a human phone call. This is the actual call log — and the actual pending list — so "parents contacted" is a real number, not a guess.

  • "Pending Today" list: every absent/late student with no contact logged yet — work it down to zero
  • Log the channel (phone call, WhatsApp, SMS, in-person, home visit) and outcome (connected, no answer, promised action, needs escalation)
  • Optional follow-up date for a promised callback
  • Full searchable history by student and date, for parent-teacher meetings
📝
Feature 5 of 7

Notebook Checking

A subject-wise rubric grade for notebook checks, so the admin can see checking coverage across the school, not just inside one teacher's head.

  • Grade A (Excellent) through D (Incomplete) per subject, per student
  • Remarks field for specific feedback
  • Shows up in the class list for quick scanning — who's overdue for a check
🎯
Feature 6 of 7

Weak Student Support

Candidates are suggested automatically — a falling exam score or a dropping attendance trend — so no struggling student is missed because no one happened to notice.

  • Auto-suggested candidate list fed from real exam and attendance signals
  • A mentor teacher, target score, review date and support strategy per plan
  • Remedial sessions logged over time — date, topic, progress note
  • Plan status tracked: Active → On Track / Off Track → Completed
🧹
Feature 7 of 7

Classroom Cleanliness

A scored checklist inspection — floor, blackboard, desks, dustbin, windows, fans/lights (fully configurable by the admin) — with an automatic grade and a leaderboard across sections.

  • Slider-based scoring per checklist item, auto-calculated A–D grade
  • Photo evidence and remarks per inspection
  • Cross-section leaderboard over any date range — makes cleanliness a friendly competition, not just a chore

How the Daily Register Works

Built for the 60 seconds a class teacher actually has between periods — not a 15-field form.

1

Pick Class & Date

Open the Daily Register Sheet, choose class, section and date — the full roster loads instantly, including students already flagged late by attendance.

2

Tap the Chips

Six chips per student — Late, Indiscipline, Homework, Notebook, Uniform, Appreciation. Tap what applies, tap again to undo. One Save records the whole class.

3

Admin Sees It All

A live dashboard rolls up every class — open critical incidents, pending parent contacts, cleanliness scores, support-plan status — with full control over what reaches parents and students.

🔒 Privacy Is the Default, Not an Afterthought

Sensitive records — indiscipline, notebook grades — never reach a parent or student automatically. Two switches have to both be on: the school admin allows that record type to reach the parent/student app in Settings, and the teacher explicitly turns on "Share with Parent" for that one specific record. Everything else — Appreciation notes, homework reminders — is safe to share by default and shows up as positive, useful information for parents and students, not a surveillance feed.

School admins get per-staff access control too: a subject teacher can be granted just "Notebook Checking" for their own section, without ever seeing Indiscipline records at all.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is a class register and student conduct app?

It is a digital replacement for the paper register a class teacher used to keep by hand — who came late, who was indisciplined, who skipped homework, whose notebook was checked, which parent was contacted, and how clean the classroom was. EduGradUP records all seven in one daily sheet and rolls it up into reports for the school admin.

Does the late-coming list need manual entry?

No. Late arrivals are detected automatically from the student's attendance check-in time (biometric, QR, or manual marking) — the exact minutes late and a 14-day repeat streak are calculated for you.

Will parents see indiscipline records automatically?

No, never by default. Indiscipline records stay staff-only unless a teacher explicitly turns on "Share with Parent" for that one specific record, and the school admin has allowed that record type to reach the parent app in Settings. Both switches have to be on.

How does the homework-not-written list work?

It reads directly from the Diary module's homework submissions — any student who didn't submit within 7 days shows up automatically with a miss count, no separate data entry needed.

Can the school track which absent students' parents have been contacted?

Yes. A Pending Today list shows every absent or late student with no parent contact logged yet. Teachers log the channel and outcome, and the pending list shrinks as calls are made — giving the admin a real completion count, not just a promise.

Is weak-student support manual or automatic?

Candidates are suggested automatically from real signals — a falling exam score or a dropping attendance trend — so teachers don't have to remember who needs help. From there a mentor, target score and remedial session log are added manually.
